Tour Information
Our journey begins at 8:30 am from the Photo Ventures office.
The first stop is the Walvis Bay Lagoon, a Ramsar site teeming with bird life, including large populations of flamingos. Your guide will help you identify the various bird species.
From there, we drive to the top of a dune overlooking the salt mine, where vibrant colours dominate the landscape. Continuing through the Kuiseb Delta, you'll see hardy desert vegetation transitioning to open salt pans as we approach the Namib Naukluft Park border, our first encounter with the Atlantic Ocean.
Sticking to the beach, we'll stop to explore interesting sights such as fishermen, birds, shells, and seals. As we drive, the dunes draw closer to the ocean, providing an unforgettable experience of dune driving, with heights reaching up to 45 meters.
